Doli Saja Ke Rakhna

Doli Saja Ke Rakhna is a 1998 Bollywood romance film directed by Priyadarshan with Akshaye Khanna and Jyothika in lead roles. The plot is adapted from the Malayalam film Aniyathipraavu. The music was composed by A. R. Rahman.

Anish Khanna of Planet Bollywood gave the film 8.5 out of 10. Faisal Shariff of Rediff criticised the film for a perceived lack of subtlety and poor acting from secondary characters. Doli Saja Ke Rakhna performed poorly at the box office. In a 2000 interview with India Today, Priyadarshan said that he lapsed into depression after the film flopped.The soundtrack for the film was composed by A.R.Rahman, who worked with Priyadarshan in his previous film Kabhi Na Kabhi to spawn a critically acclaimed soundtrack. This time Rahman focussed more on popularity and gave some of the alltime charttoppers. Rahman reused most of the songs in the films Jodi and its Kannada remake Sajni.
